Grade 5/6 students have just returned from an incredible three days at Camp Wilkin in Anglesea.
After an early start on Monday, all students traveled by bus down the to beach for a celebration of their time in Grade 5/6. Students were encouraged to challenge themselves with exciting activities like Leap-of-Faith, Rock Climbing, Flying Fox, Low Ropes, Bike Riding, and Initiatives / Team Building.

We also walked to the beach for some exploration time, as well as team games.

Each activity group formed strong bonds over the course of the camp, building team moral and group work skills.
The leap-of-faith was especially a challenge for students. If it looked high from the ground, it seemed even higher once you were up the top! Climbing to the top of a 15 metre pole and jumping off may not be everyone’s idea of fun, but for the students willing to challenge themselves and have a go, it was the thrill of a lifetime.

Night-time activities saw the fun continue. Minute-to-win-it games on the first night have everyone laughing and having fun, all while cheering on their team. Well done to all students who had a go! We also had the chance to explore the camp grounds at night, looking at the stars and hoping to spot some night-time wildlife. The next night was time for a campfire, and the chance to roast some marshmallows and reflect on all the fun times we have had at schools this year and at camp.
Campers arrived back on Wednesday, exhausted, but happy from a camp that will stay one of their fondest memories of school.
Looking forward to next time!
