Individual Student Support

All students at Forest Street Primary School are taught according to their learning needs. We recognise that all students are different and are at different stages in their learning journey. All students have individual learning goals across all curriculum areas. Students and teachers work together to determine these goals, with student voice an important part of our school philosophy.

Student learning goals are clear and achievable. It is always wonderful to see the sense of pride students get in working towards their goals and attaining their goals. Students across the school are able to articulate their goals, giving clear details on their progress.

SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely.

Students understand to be continually improving in their learning, and know that achieving one goal opens up many pathways towards their next.

Forest Street is lucky to have such amazing Education Support staff, assisting students in a wide range of ways. This staff offers individual support to students above and beyond what could normally be expected. Our Education Support staff can always be relied upon to generous and courteous with their time and energy.
