Principal Message

I welcome you to Forest Street Primary School.

Our school has a 50 year history of educating students in the surrounding areas of Wendouree.  We are proud of the high achievements of past and present students. I feel privileged to be the Principal of Forest Street Primary School and am extremely proud of our many achievements.

At Forest Street Primary School, it is expected that our students are life-long learners and will learn to high levels. Our school strives to improve student learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy, with an emphasis of growing the top and moving the middle.

We provide intervention including Reading Recovery and Quicksmart numeracy, speech pathology and occupational therapy.

The school has a warm and nurturing environment, excellent facilities and well maintained grounds.

Specialist classes in the MMADD (Music, Media Arts, Dance, Drama), Visual Arts, Physical Education and Chinese, are provided to complement class programs.

We expect to see respectful and safe learners through ongoing reference to our school wide expectations and Positive Learning Behaviours. We promote opportunities for student voice and leadership and are committed to developing strong partnerships with our school community.
